Neera Tanden is president of the very influential Center for American Progress and she’s joining us remotely from Washington, D.C.

Neera has had a long and influential career in Democratic campaign politics and public policy. She’s worked on campaigns for Michael Dukakis, Bill Clinton, Obama/Biden, and was a senior adviser to Hillary Clinton throughout the 2016 Democratic Primary and General Election.

Among many achievements on the policy side, Neera helped draft health care legislation for Obama’s signature Affordable Care Act.

She’s appeared on NBC’s Meet The Press, HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher and many other shows with slightly higher profiles that The Herle Burly, so I feel pretty damn lucky to have Neera on the pod. One look at her Twitter, where she has almost ¼ million followers, will tell you she is also a noted and vocal Trump resistor.
